School Technology Rules:1. Respect the netbooks and don't do and keep them in good condition.Do not draw/write on the netbook and shove things in the microphone holes or any holes on the netbook.Do not ruin the condition of the netbook by scratching the screen or anything like that.Respect the netbooks by taking care of them and keeping them clean.

2.Never allow students to play games on the netbooks unless instructed to.Never let a student start playing games on their netbook by keeping an eye on their screen.Keeping an eye on the screen will also help you make sure they are on task.

3.Students should "pacman" their netbook when not in use.Mr.Poole used to refer to this as "pacmaning" the netbook.It simply means that you should have the netbook partially closed so it should look like Pacman.
pacman.jpg4.Students shouldn't be doing their homework for another class on the netbook.If you keep an eye on the screens you would be able to tell if a student is staying on task and not doing any work for another class.A student might be working on a homework assignment for their next class or if they don't want homework.animated_computer_student_3.gif
5.Always have all parts of the netbook on the desk.If all parts of the netbook are not on the desk it is easier for it to fall and break or almost fall.If the netbook falls you won't have enough netbooks for the whole class and there is only two classes with netbooks in our school.stick_figure_working_laptop_desk_sm_wm.jpg
